During training, instructors will create evaluations and meet with each student weekly to track progress in meeting program objectives, goals and resident care. You must maintain a minimum of a 75% score on daily quizzes and written exam as well as 80% on the final skills exam.
At The Lingenfelter Center we offer a unique opportunity to work for us as a Helping Hand while going through training. You will be able to assist residents with basic needs and see everyday task that CNA's complete to help you gain experience that will help you during training and on to licensure.
Training spans 8 weeks with 180 hours of classroom and clinical instruction.
Training classes are Monday-Friday 8 hours a day. During this time you will not only receive classroom instruction but you will be able to learn your skills in a real world setting.
After program completion, you face an Arizona State examiner's evaluation. A clinical skills test and a written exam are part of the process.
While awaiting state test results, work with a mentor in your assigned unit as a Nursing Assistant-NA. You will pair up with an experienced CNA for a smooth transition and get to know our fun and collaborative nursing team. Upon certification, step into the role of a Certified Nursing Assistant.
CNAs work in shifts that are days, nights or a combination of both.
